more poems about corn

prayers for rain -
the church league's corn boil
won't be held this year

the tall corn's shadow
cast across the grave yard --
Autumn is coming

strong stalks of ripened corn
silk entwined in red and yellow
long uneven rows
bright beside a winding road
turned gray in constant drizzle

I was rolling along in my Maz ... Chevrolet.

Hope everyone is alright!~
a bit of a speed bump at the turn in the third verse - fixed it now.
took some parts from an Avon Coupe ...
what if we had to carry liability insurance for such things as flat phrases and broken verse? Some rusty syntax, a leaky premise - these sorts of accidents could lead to serious litigation!
